if you intend to eventually put a phase 2 cam in, i would get the 1:3 ratio rockers, as recomended by Avonbar :) not sure what ratio to use with the n/a cam though best answer would come direct from avonbar mate.

i've got a phase 2 and 1.5's. drove real nice today.

havent got the power/torque graph yet though.

Timing it in is the key.

correct me if I'm wrong but Dave had troubles with 1.5's and phase two.
About mg mety and 1.5's , I've used it for two years before to change for phase two and 1.3's.
1.5's were really good with this cam ,giving a strong power after 5000, the genuine cam generally lack of lift and with 1.3 you felt the engine struggling at about 5000.

Near Daventry, midlands

personally i'd use 1.5's with the MG cam as its well short on lift. The ph2 on the other hand has a bag load of lift with 1.3's

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

i recomended the 1:3`s merely on a cost saving angle, if u r not going phase2 then stick with the n/a cam and 1:5`s

The big question is, what do you want from you car?
I’m currently running a MG metro N/A cam, I’ve tried both 1:3 and 1:5 rockers. The difference I’ve found is 1:5 produce more top end, and the 1:3 produce more bottom end. I personally prefer the 1:3 rockers, as I like lots of bottom end (better road manners), but if you’re looking for more top end then go for the 1:5.

I'd recomend NANKANG 145/70/10's re-moulds for cost saving but i think he was after the answer for a performance aspect.

JF.....

Sorry i just can't help it........
