Is it for road or race because if it is for road it will not pass a MOT

I guess it depends on wether he knows the tester doesn't it...
That is the way I've always understood them to be fitted Rich.

Thanks Dave. :)
It will be road 'legal' and road 'useable' but not road 'practical'.

My only feeling on this is, would the fluid not just be pushed into the main master cylinder when the hand brake is applied??

Alfter all the fluid resevoir is open to the system when the piston is at the bottom of its bore. Cant see a non return valve being any use as that would lock the brakes on.

Maybe im missing something????*oh well*

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I have a friend with a hydrauic handbrake. Basically he has put the handbrake (master)cylinder inline with the rear brake pipe and that is it. The only problem is that if the handbrake is on even a little bit then when you press the brake pedal the rear brakes come on, but don't go off, for them to come off the handbrake has to be completly off.

As for the MOT, rally cars get away with it by leaving the seperate mechanical system in even though it is not connected properly. The MOT dictates that the handbrake must work, which it will with the hydraulic system and that it has to have a mechanically seperate system, which it will, easy.
