hi, mentioned most of my spec for my turbo engine last night, realise i really need an intercooler. am going to mount the coil above the alternator, and put an rs turbo intercooler in its space. was wondering where to get and how much pipes will be to plum it in?remembering im on the tightest of budgets. id apreciate any advice, thanks |

the cheapest place for all your parts is the local scrap yard. i've got intercoolers for £20 normaly. as for the hoses, look around all the cars and pic the ones that look about right.

haha, its not the intercooler thats the problem, its the cost of a decent set of hoses |

as i said try the breakers yard, there are hundreds of production cars with turbos. select solid and rubber hoses and join together with the jubilee clips also from the breakers! this should cost between free and £20. paint the solid pipes what ever colour and clean the hoses and they look like new.
