Just been having a conversation on another forum about cooper fuel lines and its been suggested there can be a problem with injectors....

That's interesing.

I have seen copper fuel lines criticised over on msefi.com, but solely due to the increased likelyhood of work hardening and fracture- which would be a problem if the pipe wasn't adequately supported.

I don't see a problem with the steel lines used on production cars. If they're kept well painted, they should last a longtime, and cheap if sourced from the scrappy.
