Basically - some mug tried importing this - and it got caught at the docks. The guy on MiniMania is a long-term user, and I'd guarantee he's trustworthy. He's in a position to potentially assist a fellow mini owner to get this to their destination.

If anyone did want to consider it - I can personally reccomend Phoenix Aircargo as being your shipping agents. They're good!

mini1071s did you have a reciept showing USD4500? well comm inv?

customs cant tell you what its worth if you have a comm inv proving what you paid. you also have to delare the value at country of export in order to do this correctly.

duty rates can be vairable as well depending on the status of the exporting country for example if you import a beetle from mexico duty is/can be 3.5% not ten as it would from the US.

if anyone does want any help on importing anything then i'll be happy to help.

yeah let me know.

you can still appeal against the customs bill for up to four months after for duty and vat.

argentina is a developing country in trade terms so i'll see if i can find out if you would be covered by a GSP.
