Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Dunno mate but I think its a bit suspect as MED say add something like £350 to their price of 250 for lightened items, if no service return items are available. So by that reconing MED lightened Cooper S rods are in the region of £600, might as well by some Carillos On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I think the Minispares ones are NLA. If you find a set for £120, you're VERY lucky! On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

And what was wrong with them. If these are OK it saves me getting custom rods made. I have posted this up before in a warning post as they are so shockingly siht. Big ends arnt inline with the little end for a fkn start, if that wasnt enough the big ends arnt machined in the centre of the forging either (nor are the little ends come to that). They weigh 800-850g depending on the scales used, variation within set was massive, something like 35grams and end over end they couldnt have been any further out. Mine are with simon being lightened and balanced as they literally couldnt have been run in the engine as was. Thankfully i have a friend who works for arrow and was able to get the ends bushed so they were in line. Im not 100% sure that the 970 rods are the same, but i'd put money on the fact that they were made by the same folk. If i were to buy some more little end rods i'd be going to arrow, they'll be able to make both sizes. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
