circlips in gearbox how many ???

i have had my gearbox in peices built this back up a few weeks later also doing major engine mods

this togeather with a massive building project ongoing which is rather taxing me at the moment as i have dug out an unexpected car in the dam garden creating a void like the pit bottom

so my heads a shed at the moment ......lol

the question is gents the circlip below i have found on the floor from where i have been working on the gearbox engine
its 34mm dia:

if i recall there are 3 circlips on the gearbox
1st motion shaft bearing
1st motion shaft nose bearing
and the retaining snap ring on the mainshaft double roller bearing

any others ???????????????

The only one I can think it could be for is to retain the outer race for the 1st motion shaft bearing in the transfer casing? I am sure these are around this size?

no its not that one tom its fitted

to be honest i dont think its off the unit at all

as i found it on the floor could be off anything as the garage is in a right state at the moment

worth checking with you chaps thoug!

that one in the transfer case doesnt have the holes for the tool. they would stick out into the race. it looks like the one to holde the idler bearing, but it is too big.

if its 34 mm then it isnt out of your box ben.
nose bearing is only 15mm (appox)

peter, well half a car and parts, buckets of grease, buss, wings, tyres innertubes, bed springs, oil filters engine block!! ....etc........

i have been told where the house is built the land in the garden used to a bus park around 1915
