I've got two sets in Norway. They're yours for free :) I could check postage if you'd like. If not, I'm coming over late october.

please do mate :) .. only need one set tbo. (wana see if torque steer/tramlining is reduced useing the metro hubs as i believe they have a larger kpi and longer steering arms makign torque steer easier to controll. jsut a hunch but really want to try it out.

wouldnt take them off you for nowt tho chap, will be more than happy to ship you a few beer tokens povided postage isnt ridiculous :)

thanks,
denis.

I think you'll be best off useing the mini steering arms on metro hubs, otherwise the ackerman angles will be really wrong.

you'll end up with the inner and outer wheels fighting each other when you turn the wheel.

I have a hunch that the metro hubs only work with wide wheels, as with std size's the projected kpi thingy ends up outside the wheel centreline.

well i want the setup so i can experiment, mini Vs metro hubs and arms. Im running 195/45/13's on 7x13" rims.

with regards the ackerman angles, even with the standard setup and tight cornering(coasting) you can "feel" the inside wheel brake away, and your then relying on the outside wheel. well i can with my setup, so the ackerman angles as standard are all to pot as it is. at any rate i want a setup so i can physically try it.

reason i want the longer arms is to help make the car more stable at speed, a tthe moment the steering is to sharp and twichy, and correcting for undulations in the road or standing water, for example, is quite nervewrackign at times. especially with sticky tyres.

By all means try it but i'm almost sure the mini Steering arms will be far closer to what you need. IIRC Ackeman is linked to the wheelbase and width of the track.

I't may be worth getting hold of a pair of MK1 arms as they are different.

First thing I'd try though is eleminating as much bump steer as possible.
