after endless sodding about trying to get the dissy to clear the starter motor...

and after all that she won't run unless massivly advanced (like 16 degrees..) and also isn't boosting!

It never rains but it pours huh!

it wont give much boost revving it at a standstill..

is it not boosting when you drive it?

You can keep the tank if it is of use to you..does'nt owe me a penny.

driving it is the problem, its not legal!

Before it boosted some when just reving in nutural, this time thou the guage goes to no vacum and stays there :S

But I have changed the head, which is modified...

I'll hold onto the tank for a bit if thats ok... save me getting an alloy one till my job kicks in and I have some cash!

you'll never get any boost with a t3 or a t2 without driving it, try sticking it in 3rd with the hand brake on and slip the clutch, should see boost then under load

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Yep agree with that, no boost till its under load on my t3'd mini.

Sure there must be somewhere to nip about, even a stretch of drive could just do it! *happy*

Good luck with it, im hoping to drop a turbo lump back in mine over the next few months, complete fresh build so god knows what suprises that will bring!

Your more than welcome to Jon... when do you fancy a go ?

Well it boosted with a t3 before... only about 3 psi reving to 5k but it was showing...

I can't pull the hand brake on... there isn't one! It weighted too much I decided :p no seriously I couldn't be bothered to clean the cable so I junked the whole mechanism!

I'll have to give it a wirl up the road when I get the brake bleed, would probably be a touch suidial at the moment!

where did you connect your boost gauge to before, wasn't it from the dizzy output on the carb?? is the boost gauge now connected in the same place?

Drive it up to something, chock the wheels, there are lotrs of reasons... I've never seen a T3 boost in neutral...
Maybe if you had a very restrictive exhaust before??..??..

Boost guage is into the dizzy output... does that make a difference, I haven't given its placement alot of thought, but it is the same place as b4!

I am running a std metro down pipe which is less that 2" unlike the system which is a full 2" st8 through (even the back box).

I think I can get away with jacking the front and using the brakes in say 2nd or 3rd... that should tell me whats happening.

I agree its weird!
