Right i got this engine with a metro turbo challenge car a while ago with the intension of putting it into my minivan, as you do.

But ive changed my mind now. And would like to get some cash to get my other mini repainted.

The metro was raced in the 80s and then sorted in a barn. I think one of John Fs friends has the shell now.

Anyway here is what i know about the engine.

there are some pics here

http://www.putfile.com/tonywells

Its got a wire ringed block with omega 304 forged pistons with what looks like a standard but lighted and balanced crank, lightend rods. There is also a large pulley that fits water pump end.

The head is modded. it has double valve spring and cast rockers.

The gearbox is fully streight cut and baffled with an lsd. The flywheel is lighted about as much as possiable with a 6 paddle clutch.

Im thinking about ebaying the parts but ive no idea what there worth.

Can anyone shed any light on the parts and there worth?

Cheers
Tony

Yep the car will see a track again oneday.

Tha chances are it will be a proper rebuild and they are not mega tuned to be honest.

The gearbox and diff would go well on ebay..

Still a little "unknown" imo.

tony, any chance of a pic of the baffles in the gearbox, to be 100% honest, not really interested in buying, just would like to know how they did it.

Here are the baffles placed were they bolt to the box

Here are the top baffles

Here you can see the baffle on the right. Its bolted to the box and meets up to a welded plate on the bottom of the gearbox. If that makes any sence.

I will take some better pics tomorrow.
