...I bought a daily driver and put the mini into partial retirement! Had no choice after the recent spate of breakdowns. It's a Renaultsport Clio 182, bit different from the mini. But: 180bhp, 0-60 in 7.1, 140mph, 35+mpg (I get 40 most days) and £860 a year for insurance (and I'm a young lad). It's got automatic xeons (they come on on their own) automatic wipers (ditto) and trac control, ABS, ESP, auto climate control, leather seats, trip computer, bla bla bla. It's not a "cup pack" though but I'm happy. Great handling but also real comfy too. Pulls hard from idle and is really flexable. Can highly recommend to someone looking for something fun but easy to live with and has all the frills!

Yeah it is a great handler and it's not too much of a chav-wagon (well I don't think so). You get peace in it too, no one likes getting passed by a mini but they don't care in the Clio. Mini is still standard MG metro but I have an ever increasing stockpile of turbo related parts under my bed. Mini has a 3 point roll bar and reverse rims but no much else special. I have another car in the process but it looks like a shed now. Can you guess what it is?

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

Yeah but I guess 400+bhp and a light live axel car could be a bit of a handful! Yeah the previous owner had those wheels on the mini when I bought it (although he kept them and I had to source my own) and the cage too so I kept it the way it is. It's russet brown with an ivory roof, it has bumpers on it now though. The plan is the T2 and Mirage set up for a bit of a sleeper theme.

Aw an Aussie spoils the fun! Yeah Torana but it's an LX. It's a Holden "red" six, a 3 litre with about 200bhp. It's going though and making room for a 350 stroker small block chev and hopefully a Tremec 5 speed. It's 1 of 2 Toranas in the UK! Sorry can't post my revels to OZ and I only have 2 left.
