What exactly is detonation??? how do you control it?

detonation is in simple turms is an uncotroled explosion in your engine which will very quickly kill the piston. you cant control it but only not run to high compression or boost or use high octane fuel, look on the net lots about it "Can I legally marry people now that I am ordained in the Church of the SubGenius?" aka i know jack sh"t

alex, i think not so long ago i recall you explaining this to a young lad on minifinity who wanted a 20psi with a T4 turbo (!), and after a few comedy replies from various people you ended up explaining it very well in laymans terms that even i understood, ill try and dig it up even if its only for comedy value.
