Wont that cause conrod stretch at high rpm and smack the chamber with pistons ?

I have never seen that happen on mine, I have taken it to 9300 rpm, and have 73.5 mm bore. I have zero difference between the pistons and the deck. |

Do you have gasket overhang? What gasket are you using? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I think wolfie has the pistons +.001" to the deck,1293 with bk450 head gasket

I tell you this, my Nat Asp 1399 has a shed load of overhang and no other offsetting would make it any better. the BK450 gasket chamber is 73.5mm by 73mm. so even on a 73.5mm bore there is tiny amount of overhang. also note that that is an uncompressed gasket, the chamber would get smaller when compressed.

My N/A engine is 0.02mm positive deck... I haven't taken that to 7500rpm yet, but I will :) On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

my 1380 engine had 5 thou clearence without problems. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
