From reading past threads on oil feed take offs (and there are more than you'd think) it appears that the majority of people take the oil feel from a tee piece where the oil pressure gauge connects. Now there has been some concern that this oil is not filtered and could harm the turbo. Looking at Phil’s car earlier to day I noticed he had an alternative take off that definitely provides filtered oil to the turbo, initially I thought this might be a good idea to do this to my block when I finally get round to machining it. However after looking at one of my blocks and the yellow bible, it would appear that the oil pressure gauge is actually feed from the main gallery at the back of the block, as opposed to being feed directly off the pump and therefore provides the turbo with filtered oil.
