Wondering if anyone else has attempted a DIY fuel injection system on the A series... I'm currently building the manifold and was trying to work out what diameter throttle body to use. The motor also has a T2 fitted and using the "Megasquirt" ECU. I've made the intake runners and plenum chamber and about to machine up a throttle body on the lathe but deciding what size butterfly to use... I know the metro used the 44mm (1 3/4") in the HIF44 but thinking I might use a HS8 butterfly 50.8mm (2"). *frown*

44mm butterfly should be ok for typical a-series power (90-200), so long as the throttle is still the biggest restriction in that part of the inlet system.

You could go bigger, the down side is you loose low rpm controlability.

So another question is what is the car for?

I've had two injection systems on mine: Webcon and DTA.
I'm now back on a carb and making more power and even mixture distribution than i ever was previously...

the megasquirt diy system is a batch injection type and it will not be possible to inject an aserie with this system.
is said you haven't loose your money and your time if yu use it to ignite it
