drill straight down the middle of them and se if you can rescue the thread on the captive nut. if you cant yould need to weld in a new nut. :(

If the snapped bit is sticking out enough, then sometimes some heat and a pair of mole grips will get them out.

i had exactly the same problem on saturday when i did mine. only 1 snapped though luckily. used a blow torch and mole grips and it came out eventually. just give it loads of heat and fille 2 flats on the stud then clamp it an it should work. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

If it's the front ones, then if you drop the rear of the frame, loosen the nuts holding the rear mounting brackets to the frame so you can twist the brackets thru 90 degrees to make clearance, you might be able to lever the frame off the front bolts... You only need around 1/2" - you can then get a cutting disc (or a hacksaw blade if you're on a budget!!!) and lop it off - leaving enough so you can actually remove the reminants with heat and a set of molegrips... Don't forget to use plenty of copper grease or similar when putting the bolts back. You never know when it might need to come off again.
