Regrettably my Mk2 Golf GTI 16v is up for sale. We've got three other cars, and no space to keep them.
This is the best car I have ever owned, it drives like a dream, and has never let me down.
Despite the quite high mileage, the car runs perfectly, and drives really well. The engine was built and fitted by BRM (Brian Ricketts Motorsport) Back in 1990/1991, when the car had only done 40,000 miles, and has been in the car ever since. Anyone in the VW Scene will tell you how good BRM were back in the day. This engine is a testiment to how well they build engines.
The car is fitted with lots of bits that make it better to drive - Coilover suspension, eibach anti roll bars, bigger brakes, the list goes on.
The car would be perfect as a track day toy, or with a bit of paint, a very nice road car.
It's a big shame to see it go, and it will be missed, but our other cars take priority now.

The exhaust knocks on the rear beam over nasty bumps

Paint on bonnet is knackered, due to a bonnet bra which was fitted last year
Rust around windscreen does not go further than the rubber, as witnessed when the it was changed two months ago.

Car will be sold without rear number plate surround, without head unit, and without the fitted steering wheel (a VW one will be fitted instead).
