Tighten up the puller, and whack the 3 corners of the puller in turn with a big hammer, tighten up more and repeat.
Never failed for me yet :)

Try just leaving it under load overnight, sometimes it just needs a bit continuous load.

Also make sure you've taken the flywheel key out lol, as I forgot to do once and I snapped one of the cheap bolts that came with the puller!! Won't do it again though!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

I use an air impact wrench, hammers and tightens all in one then!! Seems to do the trick since the whole engine is getting rebuilt anyway. Cant see it doing any more harm than hitting it with a hammer.

I had to get one cherry red to get it off! Replaced everything afterwards mind, especially the crankshaft seal!!!

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Try hitting the flywheel from behind through the starter motor hole, turn the flywheel a little then hit it again.
Try this and keep tightening your flywheel puller after every few blows.

Ive found that tightnening up the puller real tight, heating the outer collar up, then giving it a good spray of WD40 usually does the trick.

if not, the whacking from inside the starte hole is favorite. leave pressure on all the time, and re tighten as often as poss.

Also make sure that the flywheel puller is on exactly square to the flywheel. If you don't pull it perfectly in line they don't like to budge.

yes the puller need to be perfectly square to the flywheel , this make a huge difference; I generally check this five time before to start pulling on the flywheel

sounds like the C clip has dropped ??
make sure the flywheel centre slots are at 3 to 9 o`clock

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....
