thats good to hear guys, my dad has had a 1330 road comp engine from MED which is a great bit of kit really nice motor and has managed 16 sec 1/4 at avon & the pod, but to have machine work done there seems quite pricey to me, lightened flywheels, headwork etc, i was suprised with some quotes i've had from them, i'm yet to hear from morespeed & rob walker, but may try autosprint in brum or chessman engineering too! & make my mind up from the three, i have heard good stuff about rob walker engineering & want to get the work done on my parts by a machine shop that is very familier with mini parts, even tho they are basic etc etc its a tough call really to entrust parts to others as i dont do it much, even if i have to travel 75 miles each way to a good place i dont mind as long as the work is a good standard at a fair price, med seems to be expensive to me, i've been known to be wrong once before though haha! :oP Edited by clubminiflip on 26th Aug, 2006. good machining work is worth paying for - I don't get a discount for example!! But its good and fairly local to me (50 miles).

i had another recommendation to me today for rob walker from a guy thats racing a mg metro at mallory 2moz, he was saying that rob is a miniman at heart is its good work at a decent price so rob walker is in the lead on the machine shop tally at the moment,
