mmm yeah, like that a lot.

I notice that the plenumn is on upside down and your not using a turbo inlet manifold, is that due to height restrictions?

thank you guys for the positive comments,
the inlet and outlet are due to restictions in height and width in order to give clearance to the steering column.
rearwheel drive is great and it gives amazing powerslides, I also had to change to a sierra gearbox tho, the std mowog was not up for the job.*wink*

Sierra box eh?

didn't know you could mate one of those to an A series. You shouldn't have any problems with that breaking!

Any room for an intercooler under the bonnet?

Very tidy,

I take it you had to dril the block for the turbo oil return? Looking a bit closer where you forced down the custom exhaust manifold route to avoid the steering column?

Also did you use a kit for the type 9 conversion or did you do it your self? I drove one a couple of years back shortly after buying my Midget and I quite liked it, it was just the cost that put me off.

Rob

PS. I'm planning on keeping my MG Naturally Aspirated (are they rude words on this forum) and putting the turbo in the Mini.

Yep, block was drilled, and as these next foto's show its a LHD with the steering column in the way, A std RHD does accept the std metro turbo exhaust and inlet manifold. it does require a bulge on the bonnet anyway.
The type 9 conversionkit was partially bought from Morris minor centre birmingham, the best move in years really, spen the cash... I wished I did it ten years ago.

Sorry for the poor quality, but it shows the LHD issues.
anyway, it works a treat.
