Just wondered if anyone has modded the other inner wing (side opposite the rad). Im tempted to also make similar cut outs to vent that side of the engine too.

ive chopped a big hole in mine for my intercoooler fan

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

ok thats ok then, im going to mount my intercooler there i just wanted to check the mot side to it and the structual points. did you fit a strut brace speedfreaq? I might do for one side, at least it will be a solid mounting place for the intercooler!

surely it cant be that effecient, putting the intercolloer in the inner wing? i would have thought you want as much air flowover it a s possible? or is it simply a matter of space being at a premium. what intercooler are you going to be using anyway?

im looking at quite a few, its gona be a trip to the scrapyard i think. Im also tempted to buy iains cosworth one if its available in a few weeks. Ive been offered an RS ford one for 20 quid but i havent seen thes used yet and where they go?

LOL i have actually run a 1275 engine before and passed it as a 1000 as it would have been cheaper to liscence that way :)
