Just waiting for the weather to settle down so I can finish the paint job on the mini and got to really settling my engine build. Anyone see any real problems here?

-Based on a metro turbo engine, keep standard pistons and go with Cylinder liners if it needs a rebore. Depending on machine shop costs this may be cheaper and not up the compression like plus-40s or maga pistons.
-GT15 Turbo (with T2 flange) on a mirage manifold or fabricated one as its so damn expensive, no bulkhead mods. I'm not interested in drag times so this HAS to be the best turbo for a road car.
-10psi boost with a small intercooler mounted on the right wing f
-kent 266 cam, duplex timing gear standard valve gear. head lightly flowed.
-9.1 compression, with megajolt ignition
-mpi pump 6mm feed 8mm return into a "T" piece
-center main brg strap, straght cut drops (EVO) crosspin diff (EVO)
-13row oil cooler
-Verto clutch with AP race/rally plate (easy to go non verto later if this slips)
-Standard 8.4 servo'd brakes with slotted/crossdrilled disks and greenstuf pads
-front subframe on poly bushes with standard lower rear mounts
-rear subframe on poly bushes (Is this wise??)
-poly bushes on lower arm and one side of control arm.

So what do you guys think???

I have heard from many that a GT15 is too small for a 1275 and is much better suited to a 998. Go for a good T2, i am sure someone on here will recommend one later on but the Renault 5 GT turbo is highly recommended.

Sounds OK to me, ditch the verto clutch from the off though as its junk and you will end up changing it.

Thanks for the input, I guess I'll have to start looking for Pre verto bits. I was hoping to get away with that but seems not. pity, I have 3 engines here and all are Verto!

Not many R5's here in USA so I really think the GT15 is the best way for a road car even for a 1275, just look at the specs....
anyway The GT15 is already bought so I guess I'll tell you what its like when I get it on a rolling road next year. When I get the regular engine back in I'll take another look at mounting the turbo on the clutch, I was worried about the servo but come to think of it with the intercooler in the right wing it may turn out to be the best solution.

Interesting on the CR, would it be wise to at least knock the beaks off of in the cylinder head? If so how much cc would that increase it by, and how far do you think I could push the boost (if I wanted to blow away one of those Yanky V8's ya know!) with this build?

OK nuff said!

I'll just open the chambers up a bit, cc them and make sure I have no surprises on the compression ratio, decked block skimmed head etc. I havn't even opened this engine up yet.
No plans to go to 18 psi but you may be making me consider at least 12 maybe 15! If I could get 138bhp (exactly 100 more than the mini city came with) it would make for good stories over the "warm" beer. Warm beer, jeez at least it doesn't hurt your teeth..

I'm really going to look into a remote mount, I have the standard manifold but maybe have to reconsider the Intercooler in the right wing but the big hole I cut for it will surely help cool it? ahh well.

Warm beer? "SHUDDER"!!!!

Just re-read your spec above. Ditch the greenstuff brake pads, they are at best JUNK! Do a search for a recent discussion thread, topic starter was Turbo Dave I believe.
Mintex 1144 or Ferodo DS2500 are both a much better choice *wink*

Checked it out, anyone want to buy some greenstuff pads...

What about the poly's on the rear subframe? any probs with that. or should I stick with the stock? just that minispares catalog says "race only" I dont want it too hard.
