i've got a problem with a 1990 rover 214, the situation is; start the car, foot on clutch, select any gear, lift clutch, NOTHING... no movement at all.can put in any gear with the engine running, no crunching etc...this would indicate a knackered box, maybe diff has broken???

Broken Driveshaft. They rust through where the rubber damper is.Look down at each side with the front jacked up and youll see the broken stub spinning or just grab and shake them. They rust down to the size of your finger and fail when you accelerate while turning |
