I insured through Esure this year less than £400 for the Legacy.

I tend to try and avoid NU where possible, their general service is typically worse than most of the 'budget' insurers I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

some dork was on there moaning that his insurance was £1200, well duh, mine was £1200 5 years ago on a 998 mini Eek, that's about what I was paying for my MG Metro Turbo, 5 years ago, so I sold it and got a 988 Mini. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

Hardly suprising there are a lot of uninsured old bangers on the road. Who is gonna pay £1000 to insure a £200 car.

There is no logic to these peoples thinking!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Unfortunatly it's not that simple, but it is reasonablt logical, as quotes are based on statistice - pure and simple. No-one would insure a £200 car fully comp, so the insurance cost is purely based on the driver and statistics of the car. Insurance is a necessary evil, but I can see how it would be fraustrating that it can cost more than a car is worth. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

thats it, if the insurance companies paid out properly to replace the car i reckon that there would be a lot less claims for "whiplash" etc. |

i think penalising those who actually "cause" an accident is the best option.
