i am planning on fitting my carbon fibre boot floor in the not too distant futre and i was wondering if anyone knows how to drill it safely without cracking or snapping it, do you you just drill it like you would any other material or do you need a special drill bit or something on the carbon?
i really don't want to cock it up...
any help would be great. *smiley*

I drill all composites as per perspex, with a HSS drill and light pressure

9 valves, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinders, 1 turbo, which got nicked

nothing special required . Just be gentle.

consider putting masking tape where you are going to drill. and marking your drill points on it.

Easier to see than marking the carbon itself, and also the tape helps to stop the drill wandering.

Too many projects!
