hi,
just boutgh a metro turbo out of a blokes garden, its bin sitting there 2yrs with a snapped timing chain, so hasnt bin run up at all.
Ive done the chain and re-checked the timing, drained the juice and put new stuff in, checked for a spark (which is perfect), changed the plugs and filled the dash pot oil up. Yet she still wont start! I no the petrol is going as far as the carb and i no there is a spark, just cant see y she wont start.

Any help would be good lads.

Surly if the timing chain snapped it would have some bent valves.

Any how you want to take the plugs out,back fillthe oil pump then turn it over on the starter to get the oil pressure up

When I started mine I had to put a small amount of fuel down where the vacuum pipe goes with a shringe,or try putting a teaspoon full down each spark plug hole.

Mine was of road for years and inside the carb was in a right state

Put some petrol down the carb and try it ? or try a tow start up the road in 2nd gear
