hello, im going to weld a new exhaust manifold, which material should i use, because its getting very hot.?? thanks

just steel, no special steel? what temps does a nicely turbotuned 1275 engine get? There are also exhaust manifolds that shine so nice, with a bleu red shine from the heat? is that also steel?

304 Greade stainless as a minimum.

321 grade stainless is the ultimate in a reliable long-lasting manifold for a turbocharged engine. This is what was specc'd out on Jims manifold.

Quality doesn't come cheap however. This is amongst the most expensive stainless tubing to purchase.
