i would say yes you need one your bound to want to adjust your boost at some stage or another. and you dont want to blow your engine no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

If your going to run standard boost then not really but if your going to alter it then possibly. You could just fit one temp while you get it set then remove it. Thing is they do tell you how the engine is working, vacuum etc aswell.
