Hi there,

I've had my mini turbo project nearly two years now, it started as a bare rolling shell, i've spent close to 5k on it, 95% of parts were new, and its looking like it will never get finished, i've pretty much got no money to my name now, and need a car that works!

was not too far away from finishing it just needed the turbo plumming in with watercooling, and then to get it running, i ordered all the silicone piping from avonbar but it took two months to arrive, in that time i ran out of money, and my mechanic couldnt do anything with it.

So was just after some opinions as too how much its worth, either as a whole car, or if i was to sell it as an engine and rolling shell seperately?.

The shell is a 1971 so tax free, it has been deseamed, other than the roof gutter, it is by no means mint but has no rust at all on it!,
has an alloy bootfloor, rear seat bins removed, fibreglass front and bootlid, has new gaz adjustable shocks and hilos all round,
metro turbo discs and callipers, glass, new headlamps. Carbon fibre sumpguard. compomotive 13" alloys, sportspack arches and sideskirts. Spi fuel tank/pump, fuel and brake lines run inside the car.

Interior has a new fibreglass dash and centre console, 5 autogauge gauges, and a nos silver faced centre speedo,
momo bucket seats, and snap off steering wheel, alloy door cards and door furniture.

Engine and gearbox were newly rebuilt (300 miles ago) standard metro turbo, mirage manifolds and a brand new t2 turbo, forge actuator, pipercross air filter, 2 core avonbar rad, t2 braided oil feed, r5 t2 gaskets, plenum and dumpvalve. metro turbo inlet manifold machined to fit mirage exhaust manifold. Centre section of exhaust and backbox in place exiting through rear valence.

theres probably a lot ive missed out here, but you get the jist of it hopefully. It just needs the time of someone capable to finish it off, it would need the heater assembly fitting, turbo connecting up (water, oil, air feeds etc) get it running and then to make mint a respray.

anyway any opinions appreciated,

thanks,

Ian

Projects always go for less than complete cars.

Some more info would help people value it - such as is it painted? Have you got any pics?

It might be worth considering selling it in bits.

im just trying to get as much as I can back from it really, in my mind might be better to sell seperately as an engine and rolling shell.
