Hey guys, my sis has a renault clio that she drives regularly. Yesterday she told me it was making a really odd noise, so i took it for a drive and after a little while came a strange whurring/rubbing type noise from the front end.

If the steering wheel starts wobbling, under power or free wheeling-even when slow it will be the cv joint.

Hmm well it doesnt wobble under power or free wheeling, it doesnt wobble at all! You can just feel slight vibrations while its making the noise, not all the time though! |

Jack each side up and check the front wheels for free play (top and bottom), then spin them. You'll soon know if a bearing is out.

a guy at work had a megan that was making noises, it sounded like it was at the input to the gearbox (hence my previous post)
