Hi

Probably a really simple question but we have a metro turbo track car and are just about to fit a intercooler. Can we just fit a mini radiator to it? And is it a straight swap?

Cheers

Tom

you may struggle with cooling if you do that, but if there is room, you can give it a go.

Surley there is enough room to fit an intercooler in the front as well as a rad? maybe tryin dropping the rad dwon a bit lower.

Yuo may be better off fitting a Nova rad, as there not quite as tall.

Hope that helps

Dunno, but if you chop the metal bottom hose bend off where it joins the rad, replace it with a tighter curving rubber bend there is enougth room to fit a ser2 rs turbo cooler down the side.
Mk1 metro rads are also shorter widthwise than Mk2

Hmm yeah could be getting a bit warm.

We have a s2 rst intercooler and it doesnt look like it will fit with our oil cooler up front too?

Hmmm what to do!

Thats a idea. Think we may just have to move it.

now for the next question, anyone know where i could source a metro turbo radiator? Thinking about the above point. I think it'll get too warm on a mini rad

Or you could look at a mini mpi rad as these seem upto the job of cooling 16v engine, hopefully should be good enough for the turbo motor as well

The radiator in the metro turbo was the same part as all the other models. The only difference is between mk1 and mk2 metro radiators.
