i'm confused....i had the old sealed type blubs and the main headlight stopped working on both, noticing a bit rolling around i thought both broke get new ones. just fitted them yet my main headlights still dont work. side lights are ok and so are main full beams but the head light isn't.

i've checked the wire and it seems ok and the switch is fine.

i'm really lost and i cant drive with my side lights on and i need to use my car tonight.

please help

Check if there is 12v getting to the dipped beam connection.

Also check that the headlight switch on the dash is not burnt up inside.

i had a look and i think i may need to clean the connectors as i looked at tehm and they are rusty as hell which isn't helping. got to dark though in the end but the side lights did cut out while driving and a quick play with the wires saw them back on so i thin kthe connectors and maybe switch could be my problem.

If you can rattle the wires and connections around to get them to come on, it's a poor connection somewhere.

I found the poor connection on mine because it got warm to touch.
