roll-cage fitting best methods for a bolt in pics needed if possible!

is it nesecerry to weld in plates where the feet meet the floor arch's

what should i put where the bolts come through the car to the outside, a plate or washers

cheers guys pics of what you have done would help a great deal

I welded 3mm steel plates to the inside of the floor. I'd consider the fitting of a cage pretty pointless unless this is done as a cage will happily punch through the thin steel on its own.
Bolt heads on the outside - small washers (the plate is doing the work) small washers on the inside, then a nut. Use only 8.8 grade fasteners aswell.

thats a great bit of advice dave cheers, i have to break open the mig now haha!

should i put the heads of the bolts to the inside or outside of the car, i only ask this from a corrosion POV, to the bolt threads etc

also having a little trouble getting the cage feet that meet the rear arches, the car has a headlining to, my rear cage has a solid diagnal
