Whats required to do this, how have others done this and how reliably does it stay in gear.

I want to go real low and need to tuck everything up into the tunnel best i can to avoid grounding it on them mountainous sleeping policemen and multy storey car parks, it already catches the knuckle joint hence why it fooked alredy.

I have my ideas, but why reinvent the wheel.

Help apreciated

tbh all you really need is 2 UJ's, good condition engine mounts, and a bracket to mount it on inside.

heres some pics of how mine looks:

before i put the engine in:

before i welded the box in (just in the mock up phase at the minute, need to find a more permanent position for the handbrake) i just put an old box in the subframe, attached the rose joints, shortened the linkage to the gear stick was right where i wanted it, next to the steering wheel, and then built up the tower to suit.

If its for NA application, and i hadnt already bought a 1275 large bore LCB, im sure the bloke at maniflow (If asked nicely) will do a 1275 l/bore LCB, but the same height as the small bore models (1" shorter) which will bring the exhaust up into the tunnel a tad more.

Its as easy as any car, weld a lever at 90 degs to the handbrake lever, attach this to a hyd cylinder in line to rear brakes....

Just make sure you leave the cables attached for MOT purposes.
