Using Microsorft excel: how do i type lookup functions?

i need to go from sheet 1 to sheet 2 and find the data in G2

the functions are listed under the little 'fx' (in italic) button on the tool bar.

if you want to use the numbers from another sheet, i.e your in sheet 1 and want to use G2 from sheet 2, just type (ill use sum for example)

=sum(sheet2!G2)

if i understand what your trying to do correctly, (probably not!!! lol) then all you need to do is pu sheet2! infront of whatever your trying to look up. ie in the cell on sheet 1 where you want to use the data on sheet 2 type: "sheet2!G2" and then use as normal......
