hi i have a friend that has had a fair few car crash's (it aint me) & has no no-claims, he needs to get a car privately,

he likes a car that looks as new/modern as possible, & wants the fastest car for engine size but low insurance

must be very reliable as he is a very hard driver (foot down all the time!!!) i.e a car with a reputaion for strong cutch & gearbox

he currently drives a fat & heavy 2001 1.4 golf

he needs a five door hatchback preferably but will have a 3 door at a push, with low insurance

his budget is up to £6500

cheers guys

Toyota Corollas fit all your criteria

Looks new- yes (but looks shit ish)
Reliable - Nothing is as reliable as a Toyota
5 Door Hatch - Yep
Fas for engine size - yes if you get a VVTI
Low Insurance - don't know, can't see why it would be higher than anything similar.

Shoyuld be able to get a 2002 model.

Failing that a Ford Focus is is a great choice.

Tell your mate to slow down and he might not crash as much and his cars will be more reliable!!

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Not wanting to be rude but your mate sounds like a cunt.

Anyway, Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec would be my recommendation, they are quite bombproof and good to drive.

Near Lincoln

focus's definitely pretty bullet proof , my old mans put 80k on his in 3 years (turbo diesel non tdci), towing stuff from my minis, caravans, to gliders all over the country, so defo bullet proof engine & box etc

there is a definite tendency for people to like newer cars, unfortunately i struggle to like anything newer than early 90's, all comes down to personal choice i guess

does your mate do many miles? how old is he?

Ive got a "friend" *wink* selling a citroen saxo VTR, its REALLY rare as its completely standard.

Reasonably quick group 7 insurance, and fits an A series straight in the boot or if you put the seats down a roll cage, and a pair of mini doors!

FAKE CHEQUES NOT ACCEPTED THOUGH. Lol
