nr coventry

i have cooper 7.5 s diskes & they were fine when i put them on but i seem to be getting the rear locking up without to much force to the pedal, i have no servo, i cant for the life of me think what the solution is but when u guys say it'll come back to me, soz guys but thanks for help

u need smaller rear cylinder bore size for rear drum both size.

Get the drums off and check things out, badly adjusted/sticking/worn out shoes and drums full of dust can cause the rear brakes to "grab" and cause this problem.

Somewhere around Swindon

i have had the same problem and have small bore rear cylnders fitted i am going to fit another set just in case though as i cant see why

its strange, i had this before but cant remeber for the life of me what i done to sort it, are the bore sizes different on 998 car brakes to 1275 brakes, the cylinder sizes ddo they differ

Theres differant size rear cylinders,depending on whether you have drums or discs up front

If you have the pressure reducing valve an the rear subframe(single circuit brakes) you can make that adustable,then turn the rear brakes down a bit

i have 7.5 s disks no servo & duel ciruit brake setup, the presure reducing valve is the one in the engine bay below the master cylinders i think, i'm not 100% just unsure what to do, its bugging the hell outta me how i sorted the prob before on a previous mini, any help is apptrciated guys you lot do help me cause i have no mini owning friends haha

Working up the BHP ladder.

I threw that valve in the engine bay away! Pain in the arris thing!

Demon tweeks do some nice adjustable valves *happy*
