My new engine I mean!

Its the slowest build I've ever done!!!!

Todays set backs are:

Two core bungs are leaking - I wouldnt mind but thats why I replaced every bung!!

Carb is over fueling, one cylinders worth in about 1 min lol.

Other than that I think its ready to start lol.

Overfuelling I find a particually anoying problem, so many things to cause it.

Tell me about it.

Every weekend, all weekend, and it only just on the road.

Just started stripping the turbo engine, so that will keep me going over winter!

no this is just the latest...

other things have included leaking oil coolers - incorrect cam belt seals supplied and many other parts problems - generally the quality of things like ball joints or unions!

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!*angry*

I've just filled my brakes with fluid for the first time, bled them through with an easy bleed, presed the pedal....

master cylinder sticks down.... remove master, disassemble and fuck it up in the process, bollocks!!

also, been pissing around fitting a scottish sumpguard, little hint they need mods to fit a mk 1, the extension piece normally bolts to the subframe near the rear mounts, on a mk1 the subframes different here so you need to move the mounts back (about 3") to fit onto the floor, also the drivers sidemount on the rear of the extention piece is right under the floor starter bulge so there'sbugger all to bolt to...

Oh well on a lighter note my girly asked what the sump guard was when it turned up, told her it was a "kitty squisher" not amused! *laughing*

*laughing**laughing**laughing**laughing*

Edit:

Your not the only one by far, i've been on my engine build for years now, parts were a problem at the start, now its a cylinder head and time! Plus the fact the cars now stripped down to a bare shell.

Just have to keep dragging it along, but we'll all get there sometime *wink*
