Can't see any reason why not. All Seven esq cars have them.

I was planning the same for my car (non mini tho) and I don't think there's a prob with it. But then I was planning a stroker small block and a Weiand blower too, yeah!

Only comment I would make is that it would be running underneath the bottom of the floorpan, and so consequently would be very low, so you would need to be careful that it didn't catch on speedbumps.

Yep not peoble legally, lots of vans and busses have side exit exhausts. But like Tom says to fit a silencer and run it under the floor makes it low. We has problems when we did it on the racer so went back to a normal exit.

same rules apply as a normal rear exit.

it cant stick out too far (even thought the mirrors do)

and the emissions rules are the same, ie. no flames

only way that you cant have an exhaust is forward facing, and infront of the driver reason being that you would be driving into your own fumes.......however bearing in mind your exhaust run will be shorter, you will need to be carefull not to contravene the decebell level. you may want to cut a tunnel into the floor and perhaps select a thin oval can like an rc40 *wink* i had one which came out of the sill infront of the rear arche. looked and sounded sweet.
hope this helps

reference robins comments about mirrors........mirrors dont get hot mate and dont rot and get sharp edges on em bro *wink*

I think they have to exit drivers side,so they point into the middle of the road not the pavement

and im sure fastcarl had a tunnel in his car from where it used to have a side exit, kind of looks like a random cross member

the landrover has a side exit exhaust, unfortuately outs also smokes heavily on start up, so its great for blasting people e.g my mum and one arsey police man

good point lol.

i dont think it matters which side the exhaust exits, my brother had one on an R5GTT, and that exited on the passenger side.

and westfields/caterhams etc, all have them on the pavement side...

it dont matter what side for sure guys :) just say i said it was ok if you get stopped psml :):):) you need to consider the following.

is it hot ? will it pertrude from my vehicle where someone may get caught on it ? will it cause anyone further injury if iam in an RTC ?

and you wont go qrong. mine came out nearside. if you think that cobras have side exits on both sides so you are safe buddy :)
