Working up the BHP ladder.

Sorry to ask a question which has probably been asked 1000 times before, but. . . . . . . . .

My project engine now needs some sparky juice and i have no ignition system atall. I have read a lot about the megajolt system and it sounds fantastic, but the old style also works fine. Im confused which to go for?

This is a high spec Avonbar engine *happy*

Keep it simple with a dizzy or go fully electronic?

Your thoughts please

Karl

MegaJolt. FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR.....FAR FAR FAR superior to a dizzy, especially for turbo use but also good improvements to be had on NA engines.

Ask anyone who has fitted it, I will bet NONE of these people would change it back to a dizzy.

Working up the BHP ladder.

Well that seems conclusive!!! LOL!

Apart from all the sensor equipment and coil pack is the MAP Sensor also required?

The MAP sensor is contained within the MegaJolt ECU, as long as you specify MAP sensor option rather than TPS (throttle pos. sensor) option.

I suggest you have a read, start with the guide on this site written by Nic, there is some info on my website http://www.mini-pulleys.com and also have a look at http://www.afracing.co.uk

Engines have run for years on dizzys so no problem, but for the price of mapped these days there is no argument.

Ditch the dizzy as soon as you can.
