Hi, rebuilding my 45 for my 1380 (should be kicking out a fair few ponies), and the bloke has supplied/recommended me with a 225 needle valve, whilst the one already in there is 200 (the carb originally came off a road 1293).

Does a higher rating mean more flow?

Just wondering which one to stick with, the old one isnt in too bad a nick so....?

Cheers in advance

Jo

leeds/wakefield.

yes, .
its dosnt meen you will use any more fuel ,it will just allow more to pass through if the need arrises,as in if the float bowl is emptying faster than can be filled,

cheers carl, thought as much.

so should i go with the 200 or the 225? or does it really make no odds?

i think most places usually put 175's in the rebuild kits as std, but then they mostly are only supplying 2 cylinders each....
