do you have to have 2 wipers for the MOT cheers SKYLINES ARE LIKE CLITS, EVERY FLANGE SEEMS TO HAVE ONE: see this sticker on my silvia

construction and use regs state "any vehicle with a fixed windscreen capable of exceeding 25mph must be fitted with one or more EFFICIENT wipers and washer. " rear windows dont need either. the wiper must be able to maintain a clear view of the road ahead.

Why would you only want one wiper, you won't be able to see hwre you are going in the rain? Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

you can fit the fiat uno wiper motor under the scuttle and get a longer wiper arm and it works real sweet :)

im sure the wiper/wipers only have to cover a certian percentage of the drivers side of the windscreen, I dont think they consider the passenger side, for some strange reason!

i think the mot teseters book says something along the lines of "the tester has to be happy that there is adequate vision from the drivers seat" so that combined with the fact that a mini should have 2 wipers and only half will be clear then id rekon that it would fail. also the amount of weight youd save will be minute, why not just have a dump before you drive the mini. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
