Not a turbo mini owner yet but i have a stage 2 1275 motor with a 45dcoe weber in my MK2 saloon,
I would have turbo'd it but the 649 cam and flat top pistons keep getting in my way.
I'm planning to get a 998 mini and turbo this with a 32/36 dcd weber ..
We have a local mini club here with about 50 minis all in various states of tune..most of us are running 850's 998's 1098's and 1275's some notable conversions include . SOHC vtec on a homebuilt chassis, Nisan E15 in a clubby, and the most radical of them all is the 13Bsingle turbo RWD mini that looks stock from the outside..

I've posted 2 video clips , one with me trying to spin a doughnut in the driveway & the other is with some club members at the track.. check them out .. i'll post some pics of the cars in another post

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

the Search-section on this forum is blummin superb & simple to use, unlike some other forums, without the search-section & the help of this bunch of chaps on here i'll never be able to !!!Start the day with a 998cc turbo!!! :) i'm getting closer though!

The guy who built it, got himself a turbocharged 2nd gen RX7 that had crashed and basically built a space frame to fit under the stock mini body shell & modified all the RX7 components to fit , all brakes, wheels, suspension, axles are RX7..
Very tidily done ..

Ok i kirk.Well hope to keep in contact with you guys.You should have come up for the international race meet we had last month ,i would like to see de rotary mini in action with de big dogs.Know of anyone in trini with parts for sale??

i have a clip with this car's maiden run around the circuit.. but it's on my camcorder.. as soon as i figure out how much shaking is required to get it out of there, i'll post it up.. in the mean time i've posted two short clips on the video section here ... none with the rotary mini though... :(
