Well. The project continues
SHOCK HORROR !!
seems someone had decided to do some welding on the front subframe of my unsespecting mayfair ....( little does it know whats in store for it !!)
Anyways enough rambling

I will need to get a new subframe ... I was going to get a standard 998 front sub ? Any one have any views on that ?

But my big question is what about subframe mounts ?
Poly bush ? Solid, Standard ?
Please any feedback most welcomed !!

Also what about engine mounts ? Stnadrd ?

Thanx guys

solid subby mounts are worth it on ANY mini IMO.

For engine mounts I use std ones... thou the captive nut ones tend to be a worse fit for some reason.

I bought the captive type, but if u try to put the bolt in at any angle bar the right one they will just sheer off. So i took them back out and fitted std ones.

All the bushes on the front of my car are replaced with the polymer bush type. Solid mounting are used at the rear of the subby.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Yep, i dont like the captive nut ones although i know a few people who have had success.

Genuine standard mounts seem to be popular for the engine.
