the plenum that avonbar do is just a standard plenum with a collar ally welded on. i dont think theres enough room in the brown pipe to t piece off and NO i wouldnt chance letting any debris into the engine take off the manifold *smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

No there isnt really any room. Dont chance any debris!!!

Its not a big job to drop the manifold etc off sometime when your ready and have the time to sort a DV out. Its not essential to start with.

Cheaper way is to buy an plenum adaptor off ebay to allow you to fit an intercooler (around ?35), then an RS Turbo intercooler for no more than a tenner. Bung in the cost of a little piping and you're still nowhere near the cost of the Avonbar spacer, then all you have to do it cut the pipe and fit a T-piece for the DV.

DV work much more effeciently as close to the butterfly as possible.

I.e. to do the job they're intended to do.

In the piping will still work, check out the pics of the one i bought in the gallery bit labeled "turbo van"

Shows you how mine was plumbed in, it worked fine.

I had my plenum modded and an inch pipe connected to the end to fit the dump valve at a local engineering firm for a modest ?25.
The DV is as close to the plenum as possible.

Avonbar wanted ?90 + delivery and my own plenum in exchange. A bit much i thought.
