fitting my air fuel meter and labda sensor in about 2 hours and need to know if i can just wire in the internal heater between an ignition switched source and ground.??

Lambda heater (bosch) is 2 white wires. Doesn't matter which is + or -
I hjave mine wired in the same circuit as the live feed to my ECU (12v) and earthed to the ECU loom. In simple - yes, you have the right idea...
