I just took my mini up the sprayers and ask him to remove the lip from the bumpers as i dont want any bumpers and he says it may not pass the MOT can anyone tell me for sure if it will pass please?

it'll pass as long as there's no sharp edges.

Sorry to hijack, just a quickie, can i fit mk2 lamps to late car and still get an mot with no reverse lights?

a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

reverse lights are not mandatory mate, but some mot stations might be a bit funny. as the car was fitted with them at the time of manufacture. i would get a small white light and have it on the rear parcel shelf with a switch just in case u need it :)

ya probobly have to add a reverse lamp of some description, in the rear valance, a clear inicater with a clear bulb works & is still mini

Reverse lights are not tested.

My 205 has them but there is no switch in the gearbox for them, hence they don't work, never had a problem.

yup, fitted mk2 lights on a mates 91 car and had no problems, or when i put my fog light in the o/s reverse light hole on me black car.

reverse lights 8nt needed 4 test as tom says. they are only provided to iluminate the area in which you are reversing.

Chopping the mounting for the fron bumper off is easy, chopping the seam at the rear will have your boot floor and rear valance peeling like a banana without a fair bit of welding
