as the title cheers guys, the idle speed on tickover is to high, its sitty at 1500rpm, whats the trouble? anyway i can make the idle drop to an acceptable level? Edited by clubminiflip on 5th Oct, 2006. SKYLINES ARE LIKE CLITS, EVERY FLANGE SEEMS TO HAVE ONE: see this sticker on my silvia

has anything been moved lately, usually the high tickover is to do with two vacume hoses on the back of the throttle body, but is it a spi or mpi "Can I legally marry people now that I am ordained in the Church of the SubGenius?" aka i know jack sh"t

not that i should say this, but i was thinking that when i come round to make a twat of myself and go home in shame, that i would spray some carb cleaner or similar down the throttle body, it could well be some shite thats collected around the butterfly or however it works |

Had the same problem on a Fiesta. Check the TPS (throttle position sensor)

if its got an idle speed control valve try cleaning it out.
no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
