Erm,

with the C57's are you running an ecu? if so do the C57's not bugger it up being non resistor?

wel i think i sorted my missifre, was simply that i was beeing way to carefull awith the ignition timing, whacked 10 degrees onto what i had before and car pulled on boost to 7.5k.

with the C57's can you use standard ford "edis" coil leads, as i notice the edis pack i have jsut aquired has a weird fitment..

Interesting,

When I was test running my megasquirt on the dining room table with std non resistor plugs and a ford coil pack and leads the ecu and laptop kept locking up and crashing, changing to resistor plugs cured it,

mind you the unsheilded plugs were about 2 ft from the laptop and ecu....

A resistor champion plug has to have a Q or and R at the beginning - not the end of the description.

The actual plugs in mine are QC57C
ie CDI resistor, 14mm, 57 heat, copper plus.
I'll be trying C57C plugs next year - basically to see if i can (they're all I can get over here). I am running magnecor resistor leads incidentally.

If i run the champion race plugs i'll be stuck with no resistor, as i'm on 10mm plugs.

I'll just have to see if i can get away with it!

I didn't say that C57R's don't exist - but if you look at the Champion specs, the designation of resistor is either Q or R and before the numbers. Going off the 'R' after the letters - that designates 'push wire' (whatever that is) at the firing end ?
I don't see why a global company would change its designatory specs for different markets?
