Hi folks.
I have just come across this site after buying a turbo.

Im from Meath Ireland and have a 1981 city which is now finally being rebuild
(ive had it 6 years in dry storage)

So after being distracted by 2.0 opels i thought the mini needed a little more punch
Hence the turbo!

Im going to be using a late n/a 1275 a+ for the conversion and from what ive been reading here this isnt a big problem.
Ill change the pistons for the cheap ones on MiniSpeed, or does anyone have anybetter advice than that?

Im curious about lowering the compression ratio, is getting the head machined the only way?
Budget is tight (when is it not) but ill spend money where its needed.

Welcome, with regards to pistons the minispares mega pistons are very good and have plenty of meat to be machined for whatever size you like (up to i think 15cc), this will help in lowering the CR a fair bit.
